About TreccerT Examination

TreccerT provides foundation and professional certifications, which are awarded to candidates who pass successfully the TreccerT certification exam administered by TreccerT Partners.

TreccerT examinations aim to gather objective evidence, that an examinee has the required competence as defined in the description of the corresponding certification scheme. The depth, length and content of our exams depends on the pertinent certification scheme.

Examination Options

You may take the exam by choosing one of the following options:

a. Classroom

Candidates can take TreccerT certification exam as part of our training sessions, which are provided by TreccerT partners.

b. Independently

Candidates can take TreccerT exam without attending the particular training session. Candidates can prepare for the exam at their own pace and schedule the certification exam with one of our partners.

Note: TreccerT provides self-study courses to candidates who are unable to attend a training session, but want to learn from our training materials at their own pace. Completion of the particular training course is not a prerequisite for taking TreccerT certification/recertification exams.

Exam Content and Format

The foundation exam consists of 60 multiple-choice questions, designed to measure the minimum competencies in a particular field (e.g. information security, data protection, business continuity, cybersecurity and so on). Candidates have one (1) hour to complete the foundation exam.

The professional exam consists of 150 multiple-choice questions, designed to measure the minimum competencies in a particular standard/regulation (e.g. ISO/IEC 27001, GDPR, ISO 22301, ISO/IEC 27032 and more). Candidates have two and a half (2.5) hours to complete the professional exam.

Each item of the foundation and professional exams consists of a question, four answers choices (A, B, C, D) and only one correct answer. A score of 60% is required to pass the exam.

Exam Eligibility

To be eligible for the TreccerT exam, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Be at least eighteen (18) years old at time of application.
  • Be able to present a valid form of identification (e.g. ID, passport, driving license).
  • Have an approved application.

Exam Fee

Exam fees are determined based on the location of our partners, who provide training and examination services on behalf of TreccerT. Please contact us at examination@treccert.com for exact pricing for your region.

Once your application for examination is approved by TreccerT, you will be provided with detailed information about the current exam fees and acceptable payment methods. Your application will not be considered complete unless the exam fee is submitted with the application form. The exam fee is non-transferable and non-refundable.

Exam Application Steps

Step 1. Choose One of the TreccerT Examination Options

Prior scheduling the exam date, you should choose whether you want to take the certification exam as part of a training session or independently by taking only the exam.

Step 2. Determine the Exam Date

We recommend our potential candidates to determine the exam date at least ninety (90) days prior the examination, depending on their certification aspirations.

Step 3. Apply

You are required to complete the Examination Application and send the completed application and required documents at examination@treccert.com. Once we receive your application and documents, we will verify whether you meet the eligibility criteria.

If a potential candidate does not meet the eligibility criteria, TreccerT may request additional documents to support the examination application. If TreccerT does not receive the required documents within thirty (30) days, the application will be deleted.

TreccerT provides accommodations for candidates with special needs in compliance with the American Disabilities Act (ADA). Candidates with special needs must request appropriate accommodation when they submit the examination application.

Step 4. Schedule the Exam Date

Once the application is approved, we will schedule your exam and training session based on the information provided in the application. A TreccerT representative will inform you about the exam date and further instructions.

Step 5. Prepare for the Exam

This step depends on your selection of the examination option. Candidates that want to take only the certification exam are responsible for their own learning process and resources. Candidates wishing to take our training courses, whether in classroom or self-study, will have the opportunity to learn from TreccerT learning materials (candidate handbook and/or trainer slides, exercises, quizzes and real-life case studies).

Step 6. Read Applicable Examination Rules and Policies

Prior taking any of TreccerT certification exams, candidates are required to read and abide by all the rules and policies set forth in the TreccerT Exam Candidate Handbook. To prevent any fraudulent examination practices, candidates are required to read and sign the Examinee Agreement provided by TreccerT.

Step 7. Apply for Certification

Following the successful completion of the exam, you will be required to complete the Certification Application to apply for certification within a month. The application form and further instructions will be provided by a TreccerT representative via email.

Exam Security Policy

TreccerT examination are administered through our partners, authorized to provide training and examination services on the behalf of TreccerT. The examination process is managed by the TreccerT Examination Department in cooperation with invigilators and examiners. TreccerT has established policies, procedures and rules to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of its examination process.

Exam Retake Policy

  • Candidates who do not pass a TreccerT exam on their first attempt must wait fourteen (14) days to retake the exam.
  • Candidates who do not pass a TreccerT exam on the their second attempt must wait twenty-eight (28) days to retake the exam.
  • Candidates who do not pass a TreccerT exam on their third attempt must wait thirty-five (35) days to retake the exam.
  • Retakes beyond the third attempt will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Note: Candidates are required to pay the full exam fee each time they take the exam. Candidates who have taken an exam as part of our training session, are permitted to retake the exam (first attempt) for free within the year from the exam date.

Exam results found to be in violation of the Exam Security Policy and the Exam Retake Policy will result in the candidate not receiving the particular TreccerT credential, regardless of the exam results.

Exam Rescheduling Policy

You may reschedule your exam fourteen (14) days prior the examination date. If you reschedule your examination less than fourteen (14) days prior the examination date, TreccerT reserves the right to charge you a reschedule fee.

Exam Cancelation Policy

You may cancel your exam fourteen (14) days prior the examination date. If you cancel your examination less than fourteen (14) days prior the examination date, TreccerT reserves the right to charge you a cancellation fee.
